Are you looking to change jobs or choose a career path?  If you are looking for a job or career that is exciting, rewarding, and high paying, then property managmenet jobs are what you should be going after!  Why is this career such an exciting avenue in the job market?  We have compiled some very important information to help you see why property management jobs are on the rise, and a failsafe when it comes to a bad economy or recession.

Recession Proof

  • Property management jobs are recession proof.  The reason being is that when the economy is bad, people start to lose their homes.  When people start to lose their homes, the rental market starts to boom.  We are seeing this and have seen this trend the past 2 years as people still need a place to live even if they have lost their home to foreclosure.
  • With the influx of new renters, most property management firms cannot keep up with demand and need extra help managing accounts, signing new renters, and keeping up the maintenance of the rental units.
  • No matter what the state of the economy is in, people need a place to live.  It’s that simple.  As long as there are people in this world there will always be a need for property management jobs and property managers to help facilitate the living needs of the general public.

High Paying

  • Property management jobs are high paying and have full package benefits.  Health care, dental, and vision are usually included when taking a property management job.
  • The pay is either salary, commission, or a hybrid which includes a combination of commission and salary pay.  Salary pay is between $45,000 to $60,000 per year.  Most candidates search out property management firms that pay on the hybrid model because not only do they get their high paid salary, but if they sign up new clients they also get a cut of  overall profit for the firm.
  • The bigger the firm that you work for, the more money you will get paid.  Try and seek out and find a large firm that owns hundreds of complexes or individual homes.  These firms will need more managers and will in turn pay you more money to keep track of, maintain, and sign up new clients for their properties.
